Activity on profiles and publications

What a person's or a publication's Activity page shows, what stays private, the team's activity block in the Studio, and how to hide milestones

Every person's profile and every publication has an Activity page that tells what they did: posts, comments, replies, likes, reposts and ratings, pieces published, book clubs opened, books recommended, people and publications followed or subscribed to. Each line opens the thing it is about and shows a small picture of it. Past activity was rebuilt from what already existed, so nothing starts empty.

On a profile

Open a profile and choose Activity. Filter it with All, Published, Posts or Reactions. You see your own private lines too, marked as visible only to you.

On a publication

A publication's activity page has All, By the publication and Community. Community shows what readers posted in its book clubs. When an author publishes in a publication, both the author's profile and the publication show it, and the publication names the author. A post made in a book club says which club it was made in.

What stays private

  • What a reader saves is never recorded.
  • A paid subscription is seen only by the subscriber and the publication's team.
  • Posts in a members-only book club are shown to its members only.

The team's activity in the Studio

On your Studio dashboard, the Activity block shows everything your publication did and what your readers did in its spaces. Filter it by Published, Conversations, Reactions or Subscribers, and by space. Only your team sees it.

Milestones

When your publication reaches 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 50,000 or 100,000 subscribers, or publishes its 10th, 50th, 100th, 250th, 500th or 1,000th issue, a line says so on its activity page, dated to the day it happened. They are shown by default. To hide them, open your publication's Website settings, choose the Website tab, find Comments and activity and switch off Show milestones: the lines already shown are taken back.
