Delete your account

Delete your account, and the confirmation Peakub asks for first

Deleting your account is permanent. Because it cannot be undone, Peakub asks you to confirm it is you, even though you are already signed in. That way someone who gets hold of an open session cannot delete your account.

If you own a publication, take its data first with Export your data. Removing a publication is a separate action, described in Remove a publication.

Delete it

  1. Open your account and choose Delete my account.
  2. Confirm with Yes, delete my account.
  3. A window, Confirm it's you, opens. Enter your password and press Confirm.

If you never chose a password, because you signed in with a provider or with a sign-in code, press No password? Email me a code. Enter the code sent to your email and press Confirm. The code works for ten minutes and only once.

You receive an email once the account is deleted.

If it does not work

If the password or the code is wrong, the window says so and nothing is deleted. You can try again. Closing the window also deletes nothing. If you asked for a code and it does not arrive, check your spam folder, then ask for a new one.
