Feature card

Present your publication at length in one card, with a pitch, the faces of your members and articles to read, and place it in a page or an article

The feature card presents your publication at length in one card: your banner and icon, your name and headline, a pitch of your own, the faces of your members, a few articles to read, and a button that leads to your publication. You write it once in your settings, and every copy of it updates.

Writing it

Open All settings and choose Feature card. The section has three fields and a preview, The card, under them that changes as you type.

  • Pitch is what a reader finds here and why they would subscribe: a few sentences, up to 600 characters.
  • Faces shown are the members of your team whose faces the card shows, up to six. When you choose none, it shows your members, the first six.
  • Articles to read are up to three of your published articles.

Press Save: a message, "Feature card saved", confirms it. Your banner, your icon, your name and your headline come from your publication's other settings, so the card always matches the rest of your site.

Placing it

The card is a block you add like any other, called Feature card, in the page editor and in the article editor, in the Publication blocks. It always shows your own publication, as your settings make it. It takes the width of the page or a bit less. Change the settings and every page and article that holds it shows the change.

What readers see

The card shows your banner, your icon, your name and headline, the pitch, the faces of the members you chose (each with their name and handle), a To read list of your articles with their thumbnails, and a Visit button with your publication's name that opens its home. Each article opens on click.

Not yet

The card is not used in recommendations yet: for now it is the block you place.
