Migrate from an RSS/Atom feed

Guide to migrate your publication from any site with an RSS or Atom feed

Peakub has a free built-in migration tool for RSS and Atom feeds. It's the fallback option - offered when your site doesn't match a dedicated platform above, but still publishes a standard feed.

What comes across

Paste your site's URL into Peakub. If we can find an RSS or Atom feed on it, we start pulling in your recent posts automatically - no login, no export file.

Import steps

  1. Start a new publication on Peakub and choose to migrate.
  2. Paste your site's URL.
  3. If nothing more specific is detected, we fall back to your feed and start pulling in your recent posts. Watch progress from your publication's Studio.

Known limitations

  • Only what your feed currently publishes comes across - most feeds only expose the most recent items, not your full archive. Anything older will need to be added manually - see Manual setup.
  • No paywalled content or subscriber list - those concepts don't exist generically across arbitrary feeds.

After you import

Review everything in your Studio before you publish. See the Migration hub for transferring your custom domain and what to do next.
