Reacting to the cells of a page
Comment on, like, save, share or repost one part of a page or a zine
When the publication allows it, you can react to one part of a page or a zine instead of the whole page: an image, a quote, a gallery photo. It works like reacting to a passage of an article (see Comments on passages).
On a large screen
Point at a cell: a thin line appears at its right edge. Click it. The reactions open beside the page when there is room, or over the cell otherwise. You can Like, write in Comment on this, save, Share (it copies the link or opens your device's share sheet) and Repost. Which of these a cell offers depends on the cell. A cell that has parts, like a gallery, has a Parts tab next to Whole cell.
On a phone
Cells that have reactions show a thin line at the edge of the screen. Tap it, or swipe the cell to the left, and the reactions slide in behind it. A gallery or a video keeps its own swipes, so use the tap there. Tap elsewhere to put the cell back.
Signed out
If you are signed out, Sign in to react takes you to the account window and brings you back to the same cell. Some publications let only their subscribers, or only their paid subscribers, react, and the panel tells you which.
