Declaring how AI helped
Tell your readers whether a piece was written without AI, with its help, or generated, with a small label on the piece
You can tell readers how AI was used on an article. Declaring it is fine and is never penalised: it is there so readers know what they are reading.
Choose it in the editor
In an article's settings, the AI use select has three choices:
- No AI used
- AI-assisted
- AI-generated
It saves as soon as you choose, apart from the article's own save, so you do not need to publish again for it to apply.
What readers see
For AI-assisted and AI-generated, a small label with a sparkle icon shows beside the article, on its card and in its page header. Nothing is shown for No AI used, or when you declared nothing.
When a reader reports it
A reader can report content as AI-generated and not disclosed. These reports go to Peakub, not to you, and they are never grounds for removing your piece. Peakub can add the label for you, or reduce how widely the piece is shown, and you are told why. A label added that way cannot be lowered from the editor: it stays at least as high as what you declared, until Peakub reverses it.
Declaring honestly is the simplest way to avoid all of this.
